Throughout EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pupils are encouraged to speak in full sentences with an increasing vocabulary. They take part in class discussions where they need to express opinions and support their ideas. Pupils are encouraged to challenge each other's viewpoints and opinions in a positive way. We actively encourage grammatically correct spoken sentences.
